When we installed the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98855 on a 2019 Honda Odyssey we found that from the ground to the top of the inside of the receiver measured 14". When you subtract that from the 16" measurement you took for your trailer coupler that gives you a difference of 2". This means you are looking at a ball mount with a rise of about 2" (see attached picture).

When looking up the specs for the H&H CA Series Flat Top Single Axle Cargo it said that this trailer uses a 2” A-frame coupler. The A-Frame Coupler Item # CA5100B will work with your trailer. I have a solution for you, but front mounted hitches like the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 65008 are only designed for carrying hitch mounted accessories like winches or bike racks and you cannot flat tow with them. I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11025 on your 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid. Do be aware that your owners manual does have conflicting information that says it is not recommended for use with trailer towing. If your utility trailer has a 2 inch wide by 3 inch tall square tube pole tongue and the capacity of the trailer is 3,500 lbs or less, the Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler, # F222000301, will work great for you. You can measure the distance between the mounting bolts on your original coupler to see if new holes will need to be drilled for installation of this coupler. If your coupler mounting holes are right at 3 inches then this coupler will bolt on just fine, see video.
